Our Philosophy

We understand that addiction is a spiritual challenge, as well as a mental, emotional and physiological pattern which requires a multifaceted treatment approach. Our caring approach enables individuals to examine all aspects of their lives in an objective and nonjudgmental manner. This empowers them to make the necessary changes in behavior and consciousness to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.

 

We believe each individual needs to address their whole psycho-social, physical, and spiritual dynamics, combining them into one whole approach, relying on spirituality and trained professionals who understand the road to recovery and well-being. We believe that anyone can change and, to that end, we aim to create a desire in each and every individual to achieve a life of fulfillment and creativity We believe that the human condition is highly complex and that the failure to be loved and to love in return is the basis of many self-destructive behaviors, including alcohol and substance abuse. We challenge those voices that tell us there is no hope.

 

Our program customizes addiction treatment specifically for the needs and capabilities of each individual client. Our staff is comprised of a wide rage of addiction specialists, including registered counselors certified by the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors(CAADAC). We also offer the services of outside specialists, including neural psychiatrists, licensed marriage family therapists, holistic practitioners and interventionists who have a passion to make change happen.

 

The Lake Arrowhead Treatment Center is a Social Model Recovery Program, utilizing trained staff, each other and the greater Recovery community to immerse the client in the best of clean, spiritual and sober living. In Social Model Recovery, we believe that everyone contributes to providing a safe and nurturing environment; we treat each other with consistency, predictability, and respect.
